How many calories does a Lee's Sandwiches Avocado Smoothie have?

Q. I know Lee's doesn't post up nutrition facts, but I was wondering if anyone knew the number of calories or the exact ingredients in the recipe.

Answer
Lee's Avocado Smoothie is an interesting drink, but it really is not all that healthy. The avocado is great, but high in fat (albeit, good fat).

On top of the avocado, the ingredients include ice cream, milk and sugar (according to Lee's employees), which gives it a sweet taste . . .

But also makes it high in calories.

Here is the breakdown:

1/2 of 1 Avocado = 161
1 Cup Ice Cream = 314
1/2 cup Skim Milk = 45
2 Tbsp Sugar = 93

This combined gives you a grand total of 613 Calories.

This is an approximate estimation based, but I am sure that it is pretty close.

Good luck and I hope that you ENJOY your smoothie!!

To ease your mind:

Avocados have 60% more potassium than bananas. They are rich in B vitamins, as well as vitamin E and vitamin K. They have the highest fiber content of any fruit - including 75% insoluble and 25% soluble fiber. So really . . . ENJOY!

Healthy snack idea for my school project?

Pickles.

Okay so for my Fitness class. I have to make a HEALTHY snack thing. I have to make it, and have nutrition facts and write something up about it. Other people in the past have done peanut butter and banana sandwiches, oatmeal cookies, mexican dip, apple cake and cereal bars. I like makeing things, so i dont wanna so like apple slices and peanut butter or ants on a log. I want to actually MAKE something!! But i have no ideas. I was thinking about black bean brownies but i made them today and they were extremly gross!! Do you guys have any other unique healthy ideas? I dont need a recipe because i can look on google but if you wanna post a recipe be my guest!! Thanks guys.

How about this?

HAWAIIAN FRUIT SALAD WITH BANANA DRESSING

1 cup (8 ounces) reduced-fat sour cream
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice

In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. In a food processor, combine the bananas, sour cream, brown sugar and lemon juice. Cover and process until smooth. Serve with fruit.

Nutrition information per 3/4 cup fruit with 2 tablespoons dressing:
112 calories, 2g fat (1g saturated fat), 6mg cholesterol, 21mg sodium, 24g carbohydrate, 2g fiber, 2g protein.

Diabetic exchange: 1-1/2 fruit, 1/2 fat

EDIT: I've made black bean brownies, and they were great! They tasted just like chocolate brownies. This is what you should have done. If you didn't, try it again...

You will need:
1 chocolate cake mix
1 can black beans (15 oz, I think)

Drain and rinse the beans well. Then, with the beans still in the can, fill the can up with cool water. Pour the entire contents of the can into a blender or food processor and blend until completely smooth. Mix this puree with the box of cake mix and blend well. Pour into a prepared pan, and bake according to the box directions.
