Cheap Healthy Salads Recipes?

Tarazha

I'm looking for healthy salad recipes that I can make at home on a strict budget of 50 dollars for the whole month to cover 1-2 out of 3 meals a day. The reason is I'm trying to lose weight and my goal is to prepare something healthy for at least two of my daily meals since dinner is usually cooked for the house by someone else. Salads have caught my attention just because I really like salads and my diet currently has few fruits and veggies in it so I'm killing two birds with one stone there. Anyone have some salad recipes that can cover lunch for a week that incorporate chicken (i hate chicken breasts it's so dry) and some kind of pasta for around 300-350 calories a serving? I'm not a picky eater but I'm also not a chef. If the salads voluminous enough I wouldn't mind swapping out snacks for salads and eating a lighter lunch. If it helps I'll lay out the regime the nutritionist gave me.

Breakfast: 300-500 calories
Snack: 100 calories
Lunch: 300-500 calories
Snack: 100 calories
Dinner: 400-500 calories

The recommended amount of calories consumed was less than 2000 calories with regular walking exercises. I'm morbidly obese trying to get healthy so obviously I'm not going to actually consume 2000 calories a day. I've looked uo all the tips there can be found on stretching a meal I don't need more tips I'm asking for salad recipes to try.

Answer
Hi Tarazha,
I used to make fairly cheap salads for lunchâa wedge of cabbage, some carrot, celery and cucumber sticks, sliced yellow paprika and red cherry radish, a few cherry tomatoes, 3-4 slices of rolled supermarket ham, and 6-8 half-inch cubes of cheese, usually natural, sharp cheddar. For dressing? A pinch of salt and a dash of pepper! VERY occasionally, my wife would put a teensy tub (about one ounce) of miso + mayo + soy or Worcestershire sauce, for dipping the vegetable sticks and sometimes I'd throw a whole, or half a boiled egg into the lunch-box. I could eat this 3-4 days running, but would want a ham & cheese sandwich or a burger at least once per week

I've been eating only fresh fruits for breakfast for the past 18 months, and lost 28lbs (13 kilos) in less than a year without any change in exercise, which shocked my doctor! My previous weight was 93kg/200+lbs (borderline obese at 5'11") and my last 'target' weight was 88kg, but I was a smidgen under 80kg at our next meeting. I was eating 'mostly' salads for lunch, but I could also do a small ham and *real* cheese bagel (180-190kcal) and a cup of cold Vichysoisse/corn/pumpkin soup (70-80kcal) and I could work all evening on that.

Best of luck with the weight loss. Watch out for the 'stealth calories' in salad dressings, please!

Cautionary tale linked below, but just for fun!

Healthy vegetarian sandwich?

Not kiki

that is under 300 calories
the bread i have is 76 cal a slice, wholemeal.

ideas?

Answer
Well, if you use 2 slices of bread, that'll be 150 calories.

So you have 150 calories to work with.

Try:

1 slice reduced fat cheese (80 cal)
Tomato (<5 cal)
Lettuce (<5 cal)
2 pieces veggie bacon (60 cal)

-----

3TBSP hummus (90 cal)
Heap of bean sprouts (40 cal)
Dash of sea salt (0 cal)

-----

1 TBSP peanut butter (90 cal)
2 TBSP reduced sugar jam (60 cal)

-----

eggless tofu salad (150 cal)

how many calories is a peanutbutter sandwich?

Answer
How many calories... in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?
Posted: Jan 17th 2007 6:00AM by Brigitte Dale
Filed under: How Many Calories?

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were born in the U.S.A. Food historians guess that the GIs in WWII combined their military rations of peanut butter and jelly to make the peanut butter more palatable, and when they returned from the war they brought the PB&J sandwich idea with them.

We've been eating them as snacks and stuffing them into our kids' lunch boxes ever since. These sandwiches have a healthy reputation, because peanut butter has protein... and that jelly sort of counts as a fruit, right?

But how many calories are in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?

A) 300
B) 450
C) 510
D) 625

The correct answer is C) 510 calories.

This is an estimate assuming the sandwich is made with two regular slices of white bread plus 2 tablespoons each of peanut butter and strawberry jelly.

If the sandwich is going to be an entire meal, the number's not too bad. But in most cases this sandwich would only be one part of a larger meal so those 510 calories could make your total calorie intake for the meal add up quickly. Also disturbing: this sandwich contains 20 grams of fat. Granted, the majority of fat in peanut butter is the monounsaturated "good" kind, but that's still a lot of fat to be packing into one small, "healthy" sandwich

OK so I like really REALLY love Philly cheese steak sandwiches, but I'm on a strict diet and they are very high in fat and calories. Could I get some recipes on how to make it very healthy? Like what if I use Turkey ground instead of steak and low-fat cheese? Help!

Answer
Sorry Chris is right. If you change it up a lot and use chicken or turkey you can't call it a Philly Cheese Steak but the flavor will be sort of similar.

For a healthy alternative try using portobello mushrooms. They have really meaty flavor. Slice up the mushrooms, toss with a bit of olive oil, minced garlic, thinly sliced onion and parsley then saute or broil until soft.

Pile it on to a whole grain bun and top with some low fat or no fat cheese. (Kraft makes no fat Sharp Cheddar singles.) Put the sandwich under the broiler for a minute or two or in the oven for a bit longer to melt the cheese. This sandwich should be under 300 calories.

What do you mix with tuna to make typical tuna mixes (for sandwiches, with crackers, etc)?

David

My house has a bunch of tuna cans, and I need to know what types of delicious foods I can make with tuna (List the ingredients, and ratios of ingredients:tuna if possible). I remember eating tuna sandwiches my mom made when I was young but I can't remember what went in them.

Answer
Here are some great recipes:

Gourmet Tuna

Here's a restaurant quality tuna recipe that is absolutely delicious for tuna salad sandwiches.

1 (7 ounce) can white tuna, drained & flaked
6 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1/8 teaspoon dried minced onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1 pinch garlic powder

In a medium bowl, stir together the tuna, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, & onion flakes. Add in the curry powder, parsley, dill weed & garlic powder.

Mix well & serve with crackers or as a sandwich.

===================

Healthy Tuna Salad Sandwich

Canned Tuna (in water)
Sweet Relish
Celery
Onion
Dijon Mustard
Green Olives
Tomato
Salt
Pepper
Mescaline Lettuce
Cucumber
Parmesan Cheese
Low Calorie, High Fiber Bread

Canned tuna, which is kept in oil has significantly more fat than tuna canned in water. Be sure that you use the tuna canned in water, otherwise the healthy factor goes straight out the window. Also, the low calories, high fiber bread is easier to find then one would think. Search for breads in the bread aisle that have between 40 & 60 calories per slice. There are several national brands which now produce such breads. These breads also go hand & hand with having higher fiber content because they tend to use whole grains. Finally, each can of tuna produces 2 sandwiches.

Place your bread in the toaster oven. While obviously this is an optional step, crisp bread tends to hold the contents of this bread better than bread that has not been toasted.

Open the can of tuna & place the contents in the small strainer. Run the tuna under tap water. This will help alleviate any residual âfishy smellâ. Blot any excess water away from the tuna using a paper towel. Place the tuna in your small bowl.

Chop one celery stalk, one slice of onion & three green olives (pitted) into a small enough size that they will mix well with the tuna. Add the chopped celery, onion & green olives to the small mixing bowl.

Spoon a small dollop of Dijon mustard into the mixing bowl. Sprinkle salt & pepper to taste. Stir the tuna, celery, onion, olives, salt, pepper, & mustard together until it is well mixed. Be sure tobreak up any large chunks of tuna that remain from the canning process.

Remove & plate the bread from the toaster oven. Spread the tuna salad over the bread. (Remember one averaged sized can produces two sandwiches.) Slice pieces of tomato, cucumber & Parmesan thinly. Remember that there is a lot going on this tuna salad sandwich, so a few slices of each go a long way. Also, the Parmesan is merely for that wonderful nutty, acidic taste. The fat content of cheese is significant, so use it sparingly.

Layer the tomato, cucumber, & Parmesan on top of the tuna salad sandwich. Add a few pieces of lettuce & then cap with the final piece of bread. Voila, you have just completed the healthy tuna salad sandwich.

Not only will the total caloric value of the sandwich be less than 300 calories, it will also be packed with fiber & fresh vegetables. Pair this meal with a low calorie soup for a satisfying lunch or dinner.

A Variation on the Recipe:

Some people are not big fans of mustard. If this is the case, try using just the tiniest splash of olive oil instead. It will help bind your tuna salad with a heart healthy oil. Just remember that olive oil is loaded with fat, so a half tablespoon at most should be used for each average size can.

===================

Magic Tuna Fish Salad

2 cans of tuna fish packed in water
1 bunch of green onions
3 jalapeno peppers
1 cup of bean sprouts
1 cup of fresh white mushrooms
1 medium tomato
several leaves of romaine lettuce
1 cucumber
3 tablespoons of mayonnaise (or if you're concerned about fat/calories use fat-free mayo)
parmesan or romano cheese (you can also top with sliced cheddar, Monterey jack, pepper jack or muenster)
2- 4 slices of whole wheat bread

Chop the following ingredients into small pieces; green onions, mushrooms, set aside. Slice jalapenos down the middle from top to bottom, discard seeds, chop into small pieces & set aside. Slice tomatoes & peel & slice cucumbers, keep these ingredients separate from the other veggies.

In a large bowl mix 2 cans of drained tuna, 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise thoroughly, add jalapenos, bean sprouts, green onions & mushrooms, stir ingredients until everything is mixed into tuna & mayonnaise.

Spoon this mixture onto a slice of whole wheat bread covering bread evenly, top with cheese, tomato slices, lettuce & cucumber slices & finish with a slice of wheat bread on top. Cut diagonally serve with a slice of pickle & enjoy!

What are some 250 calorie or less dinners?

I'm on a calorie-restrictive diet and need some advice for a healthy, tasteful meal option in the range of 250 calories. I'd like to implement some lean protein if possible, and definitely veggies, but nothing too exotic (I want to keep it to what I've already got in the fridge or pantry). Any suggestions?

Oh yeah and might i add that I know an awful lot about nutrition and my mom and dad won't take me anywhere to get my problem under control. They believe that since I caused it, I need to fix it.
Oh and I am involed in 4 sports at school.

Answer
I could very easily make many recommendations for you but a little more information would help, this includes your height to better determine what kind of frame we are looking at here, and finally, any disabilities that would prevent you from engaging in a moderate exercise plan, any foods you absolutely can't stand, and finally, how long you want it to take to lose all of this. If you are about 5'6, then you are exactly right that you are about 20-30 lbs over average. Keep in mind, if you are an athletic individual, then weight shouldn't mean anything. Muscle doubles fat in terms of weight. In any event, if you don't have any problems with food dislikes, and no disabilities preventing you from a modest workout, I'll tell you how to lose 20-30 lbs in 2-3 months. It requires extensive dicipline however and it helps if you have a buddy to pair up with. I promise you that if you can get past the first 10 days of my program, it will be quite easy to maintain my program. A lot of what I'm going to tell you won't be popular but I as well as many of my friends are a direct product of this program so give it a shot...

Here's your recipe:
1. First off, cut your calorie intake! The average American consumes 3000 calories a day! Even the recommended 2000 calories per day is SO much more than the body needs. Take it a step further and ask why on earth do we eat three meals a day? Back in the day when civilization was first getting a move on and we were running around the praire hunting things do you think we ate three meals a day? We were lucky to eat one, or any at all. Cut your calories right now to 1250 per day and COUNT them! The average human needs well under this to maintain body weight so even doing this alone won't provide much results. Try to eat lots of fiber, as this expands in your body and makes you full faster. KASHI cereals with one cup of non-fat milk, a slice of Oroweat Light toast and spray butter is an excellent breakfast. Egg Beaters are also a good choice. They are low in calories, and high in protein. For lunch, try a 5slice deli-cut roasted chicked sandwich plain on that oroweat bread. For dinner, eat as many vegetables as you can get your hands on, and chicken, chicken, chicken. Basically, try to stay under 1250 calories per day, eat foods that are high in protein, high in fiber, low in fat, and low in sodium. For seasonings, use only Garlic Powder or Pepper (not garlic salt), Ketchup, and mustard. Stay away from mayo, salt, and just about anything else (Salt makes your body retain water... fat is about 98% water... Get rid of the salt, lower your water intake, but don't dehydrate yourself). Finally, switch to diet sodas as an easy way to shave off a couple hundred calories per day, and instead of juice, try crystal light... They taste pretty good! Safeway also has a diet carbonated beverage that is pretty good. The diet stuff will taste pretty bad at first but after you get used to it, you'll hate regular soda and you'll shutter at the thought of drinking your fat... I'll tell you, the first 10 days of eating like this will be the toughest. Your body is used to eating a lot more, using half, and making fat with the rest. Its going to be crushed when it has to start burning fat to meat the energy quota for the day. After 10 days though your body will be totally used to it, your stomach will shrink in size, and you will therefore be less hungry.
2. Excercise doesn't have to be long and difficult. Quite easy in fact. If you dedicate 10 minutes to exercising, 5 days a week, I can GUARANTEE YOU"LL LOSE THE WEIGHT! This of course is assuming you maintain my little diet for you above. Anyway, this is all you have to do, three things... Situps, Run, and if you have stairs or access to a stair stepper, the stepper. Workup to three sets of 30 situps per day, so 90 situps a day, 5 days a week... Run as fast as you can for 3 minutes on a treadmill, twice per day, back to back if you want, it doesn't matter. Or, instead of 2 sets of 3 minutes, run 1 mile per day in 8 minutes or less. The catch is you cannot stop during your time. If you are doing the three minute routine, it has to be as fast as you can maintain over 3 minutes and I do mean pushing it, without stopping! Or, if its the mile, it has to be in 8 minutes or less. Finally if you have a stepper, and this is optional, throw that in place of the mile twice a week and either do a mile, or 10 minutes, whichever is longer. The type of exercising above is almost like a shock treatment to your body. You are going from idle to full throttle and maintaining it for an extended period of time. You are telling your body that you aren't just a couch potato anymore so start producing muscle and stop producing fat. Your body will quickly adapt after the initial and grueling 10 days. Your lungs will increase in capacity and efficiency allowing you to breath better, you'll have more energy during the day as more food is converted into ATP to supply your muscle instead of lipids for the belly, and you'll start to have confidence that will push you to continue the routine.

On a final note, do all of this at your own risk. This diet isn't for the light hearted, weak-willed, or anyone with health issues. Discontinue if you don't feel its right for you.

whats a good eating plan for a 14 year old girl?

Griffin

I'm active, I'm 5"5 I currently weigh 120 pounds my goal is 110 pounds when i reach 110 what should i eat to maintain my weight?

Answer
I did this and lost 40 lbs in just under 3 months:
Breakfast: Choose one

Fiber One Cereal: There are like 8 different choices on flavors, caramel, fruit, honey, raisen bran, original, ect. All very healthy for you and a great way to start off the day with minimal sugar and a boost of fiber. (1 full cup of cereal + milk is more than I can eat and it's less than 200 calories)

Thomas Whole Grain English Muffins: If you're in the mood for some warm bread, pop one into the toaster and spread some organic peanut butter, No sugar added jam, or I can't believe it's not butter for a warm and delicious breakfast pastry (Note: buy peanut butters in which the oil is at the top and you have to mix it in; avoid brands like Skippy or Jif.) (Each english muffin is 100 calories but be careful of toppings, they add up quickly)

Egg Beater/Egg Whites: You can buy cartons of egg beaters or egg whites in the store. they are delicious, you will not be able to tell the difference between them and regular eggs. Except for the fact that EB/EW cook faster and more easily than regular eggs with no beating the eggs or shells to clean up. Make an ommlete or scrambled eggs and throw in some chopped peppers, spinach, turkey bacon, or skim cheese.

For luches and dinners I recommend Clean Eating. It's a delicious way to Eat without lots of sodium, or artificial chemicals. I have lost 40lbs eating clean. And in over a year of cooking there meals, not ONCE have I been disappointed with the flavor of their recipies!

http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes.as…

My fave's
Fish and Chips (because I'm from the UK, I grew up loving Fish and Chips and these are so delicious and when I eat them I feel like I'm back at The Laughing Halibut in London) http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Re…
($1.79 for all materials, They come in at just under 300 calories)

Goat Cheese & Kalamata Paninis: These are so amazing I want one right now. The PERFECT lunch. One very filling sandwich is 300 calories
http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Re…

Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread: I love making this, it's actually fun to cook and tastes so amazing!
http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Re…
Makes a large loaf with 12 slices at 180 calories a slice.

Blueberry Strudel: Very reminiscent of a small sidewalk bakery I grew up by. This is without a doubt my favorite dessert. serves the recipe makes more than enough for 4 at 200 calories each.
http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Re…

But, if you were to follow my advice, eating one of my breakfast options at about 300 calories, a clean lunch at about 300 calories, a dinner at about 300-400 calories, and a dessert at about 150, you ate 3 HUGE meals and a decadent dessert at a grand total of 1050-1150 calories a day.

The average male burns about 2400 calories in one day without working out (females is anywhere from 1600-2200 depending on many, many things; you guys are just.... complex =P, also keep in mind this is an average. If you are 6' 8'' 300 lbs you would burn more than average, If you were 4'8'' 100lbs, you would burn less.) A Pound is equal to 3500 calories. therefore without working out, you will lose a pound every 3 days. stick to the diet for a month and you are at 10 lbs, do it this fall: 30lbs. I dropped 40 lbs in 3 months (although I did run once or twice a week but nothing too intense, but that was negated by the fact that I cheated on days I ran by going to my local bakery and ordering all sorts of sweets for breakfast!)

Good luck with your weight loss

Answer
Losing weight first starts with being happy with yourself and loving *YOU* on the inside. Try everyday to smile and laugh, LAUGHING is super helpful. It seems weird but it really does help! =) Try to follow a 1600 calorie diet.
It's best to have 5 meals a day that way you don't get to hungry because that leads to over eating.
Here is a couple ideas to help you get started:

Breakfast:
Oatmeal and a piece of wheat toast w/ 2tsp. trans free margarine. -OR- Strawberry Banana Smoothie (In a blender process until smooth, 1 small banana, 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup fat free milk, 1/2 cup low fat plain yogurt, 2 tsp. honey, and 1 or 2 ice3 cubes. You can have your smoothie with 1 or 2 pieces of whole wheat toast. -OR- An egg on a piece of wheat toast with salsa (make 2 servings) ---If you are still huingry at breakfast have a small piece of fruit.

Lunch:
1 cup soup (water based not cream base) and a Cheese and Tomato Sandwich: 2 slices whole wheat bread, 2 slices reduced fat cheese, mustard and sliced tomato. -OR_ instead of the tomato sandwich 2 pieces whole wheat with 2 slices of Turkey and Mustard. -OR- A Lean Cuisine Frozen Meal (These are actually very tasty. The meat is delicious.

Dinner: 1 piece Chicken Breast with 2 side dishes: 1 cup steamed veggies, 1 sweet potato, 3/4 cup corn, 3/4 cup butternut squash, etc.

Dessert:
Light Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt:
3/4 cup with no more than 110 calories per 1/2 cup topped with tablespoon chocalate syrup.

Snacks:
Steamed Veggies, fruit, any nuts (these are great protein),
my personal favorite snack is Light and Fit 60 calorie yogurt cup with a 100 calorie Granola Bar. (I cruch up the Granola Bar and put it inside of my yogurt.)
Also there are alot of great ideas if you go to fast food for example....

Wendys: Ultimate Chicken Grill Sandwich- 390 calories

McDonalds:
Caesar Salad grilled Chicken-220 calories
Bacon Ranch Salad w/grilled chicken 260 calories
Salad Dressing: Vinaigrette: 40 calories
Salad Dressing: Italian : 60 calories
Fruit and yogurt Parfait: 160 calories
Chicken McNuggets: (4) 170 cal. (6) 250 cal. (10) 420 cal.
(if you have sauce stay away from Ranch)

KFC:
Original Recipe Chicken Sandwich: (no sauce) 320 calories
Honey BBQ Sandwich: 300 calories
Snacker: 320 calories
Honey BBQ Snacker: 220 calories
Small Mac and Cheese: 180 calories
Small Potato Salad: 180 calories
Small Potatoes and Gravy: 130 calories
Roasted BLT salad: 210 calories
TenderRoast Filet Meal: 360 calories
Lil Bucket Strawberry ShortCake: 200 calories

Burger King:
Chicken Whopper no mayo: 410 calories

Jack N The Box:
Southwest Chicken Pita:230 calories
Chicken Fajita Pita: 300 calories
Beef Taco: 160 calories
Chipotle Chicken Sandwich: 390 calories
Bacon Chicken Sandwich: 440 calories

Carls Jr:
Charbroiled Chicken Sandwich: 370 calories

Taco Bell:
Nacho Chicken Gordita: 270 calories
Nacho Steak Gordita: 270 calories
Taco: 170 calories

Subway :(THE BEST CHOICE)
You can have any of the under 6 grams of fat sandwiches! They're delicious just No MAyo. My favorite is Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki. I like to get a foot long and have a 6' for lunch and a 6' for dinner.

Also make sure you do 30 minutes of excercise 5 days a week. I like to walk to the store and back instead of drive =)

This was just some ideas to help you on your way.

Also its great to drink one glass of water before eating. Water is very important! It takes your body 30 minutes to tell your brain you're full so sometimes after you eat a small meal wait 30 minutes to see if you are still hungry or not.

GOOD LUCK!!! I know you can do it!

I'm 13 and I already keep a food journal, count calories (trying to stay between 1,000 and 1,500) and work out...a lot. I still need to know some exercises and foods that help you burn fat, though. I am basically living off of smoothies, salads, and sometimes a treat like an eggroll or something but basically mostly salads and smoothies. I'm starting to get tired of them so if anyone has any recipes (that dont include seafood) that are only 300 calories or under will you please post them? Also if anyone can tell me how to lose more weight faster or something I'm doing wrong..please help. Thanx in advance!

Answer
I would stop doing the smoothies as there are lots of calories in them; I know because my husband & I tried them for over six months and we did not lose very much weight. And we were still hungry afterwards. What really helped us was Weight Watchers and eating a variety of foods and of course exercise. You need to do aerobic exercise. Your body also needs to have energy (calories) to lose weight and I think you are actually giving yourself too few calories. I would try to up the calorie count a little bit, say to 2000.

Drink your milk with 1 or 2% fat, eat apples and berries (lots of fiber) have some lean meat (like broiled chicken or pork loin), eat oatmeal (not the little packs but the real stuff) for breakfast (my husband swears by it-and he lost lots of weight by having breakfast) have sandwiches with low cal bread and low fat meat or cheese with mustard for lunch and have veggies like brocolli and carrots (broiled or steamed) with your meat for dinner. Do not eat fried foods at all as they will set you back a bit. And lastly, drink your water - you do not talk about that at all and that is probably the most important thing about nutrition and being healthy. It will also keep you feeling fullish. One last thing, I would strongly recommend going to a doctor and a nutritionist to make sure about what you are doing and before you start to do any of these things recommended by anyone on this topic.

What food can you order at restaurants or fast food places that is low fat/calories?

I'm on a calorie-restrictive diet and need some advice for a healthy, tasteful meal option in the range of 250 calories. I'd like to implement some lean protein if possible, and definitely veggies, but nothing too exotic (I want to keep it to what I've already got in the fridge or pantry). Any suggestions?

Answer
celery, carrots and an apple with nothing to dip in, and soy milk.

Now, if you said 300 calories, I could get a little more creative.

* Lean Cuisine Herb Roasted Chicken, and 1 cup of 1 percent milk

Help? what is a healthy way to make a philly cheese steak sandwich?

its me jol

How can I lose weight faster?

T

I weigh over 240 and I wanted to know, how could I loose at least 90 before the end of next year. Any tips on how I can get very fit before my prom. Special diets. At home exercises, etc.

And in over a year of cooking there meals, not ONCE have I been disappointed with the flavor of their recipies!

http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes.asâ¦

My fave's
Fish and Chips (because I'm from the UK, I grew up loving Fish and Chips and these are so delicious and when I eat them I feel like I'm back at The Laughing Halibut in London) http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Reâ¦
($1.79 for all materials, They come in at just under 300 calories)

Goat Cheese & Kalamata Paninis: These are so amazing I want one right now. The PERFECT lunch. One very filling sandwich is 300 calories
http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Reâ¦

Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread: I love making this, it's actually fun to cook and tastes so amazing!
http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Reâ¦
Makes a large loaf with 12 slices at 180 calories a slice.

Blueberry Strudel: Very reminiscent of a small sidewalk bakery I grew up by. This is without a doubt my favorite dessert. serves the recipe makes more than enough for 4 at 200 calories each.
http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/Recipes/Reâ¦
